Trappe is one of the older boroughs in this part of Montgomery County — Augustus Lutheran Church, built in 1743 and still standing along Main Street, is one of the oldest continuously used Lutheran church buildings in the country, and it gives a sense of just how long this stretch of the Route 422 corridor has been settled. That history means Trappe has a wider range of driveway ages than most of the towns we serve, from older asphalt drives on established in-borough lots to newer concrete driveways on properties that have filled in around the edges of town.
